1 - ADVERTISED SPEED

The lights quickly tell you if the device is a hub / switch or a PC. Plus it reads the link pulse to determine if the device is capable of 10, 100, and/or 1000MB/s communication (this is termed the advertised speed). and it also displays whether it's half or full duplex.

2 - NEGOTIATED SPEED

Go INLINE between two LAN devices and the TVR10/100/1000 will check the speed and duplex of the link (this is termed negotiated speed). The ability to test negotiated speed in this price range is unheard of!

3 - TEST CABLES

The TVR10/100/1000 is also a pairs tester... telling you which parts are wired and whether they are straight through or crossover.

4 - TRACE CABLES

Use the TVR10/100/1000 as a tone generator. The main unit generates the tone for use by the Remote probe.
